How to preserve your Buona Terra
1. Avoid prolonged sun exposure
Direct sunlight can dry out the leather and alter its original color.
2. Keep it away from heat sources
Do not place it on stoves, radiators, or hot surfaces. Excessive heat can harden and crack it.
3. Do not get it wet unnecessarily
Leather is not waterproof. If it gets wet, let it dry at room temperature, without using a hairdryer or heaters.
4. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth
Use a soft cloth to remove dust. If necessary, dampen it slightly with water. Never use abrasive products.
5. Avoid using alcohols or solvents
They can damage the surface and remove the leather’s natural finish.
6. Moisturize the leather with specific products
Occasionally, you can apply leather cream or balm (without silicone or petroleum derivatives) to nourish it and maintain its flexibility.
7. Stuff it to maintain its shape
When you’re not using it, stuff the bag with clean paper or fabric to prevent it from losing its shape.
8. Use fabric bags, not plastic ones
Store it in a cotton or canvas bag to protect it from dust and allow it to breathe.
9. Rotate its use
If you use your bag every day, give it a break from time to time. Leather needs to breathe too.
